Job Description

Activity Coordinator required for seniors #39; living facility.If you are searching for a position in a dependable field with one of the most dynamic employers in Southern Alberta, keep reading.We are looking for a team-oriented person who has a flexible, willing, and positive attitude to help as an Activity Coordinator at one of our facilities.Requirements of the position include:

  • Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Emergency First Aid certification.
  • A valid Class 4 driver #39;s license.
  • A minimum of 2 years #39; experience in leading group activities and/or related recreation field.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Certification and/or training in conducting exercises for seniors is considered an asset.
  • A Recreation Therapy certificate is an asset.
Basic Responsibilities of the position include:
  • Developing programs that contribute to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Provide programs and activities which offer broad appeal to residents and encourage participation.
  • Planning and organizing resident excursions, entertainment activities, and other indoor/outdoor activities.
  • Driving the Foundation bus and leading exercises.
  • Recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers.
