Job Description

Health Care Aide required for a seniors #39; living facility.Green Acres Foundation is seeking a team-oriented multitasker who is flexible, enthusiastic, and has a positive attitude to help as a Health Care Aide at our facility in Coaldale, Alberta.Does this sound like you If so, you will perform duties that require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and independent judgement. We are a self-motivated bunch who find coming to work fun, so strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST.About the position:

  • This is a Permanent Full-Time position.
  • The ideal candidate must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Shifts to cover in this position are: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, and/or 10pm to 6am.
Basic responsibilities of the position include:
  • Assisting residents with the activities of daily living
  • Providing personal care to residents
  • Respond to emergency calls as required
  • Assisting residents with medications
  • Assisting with housekeeping, meal preparation/service, and recreational activities
  • Compete all necessary charting, paperwork, and reporting requirement in a clear, concise, and timely manner
  • Maintain a neat, clean, pleasant, home-like environment for the residents
Requirements for the position:
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Completion of Bridging Modules for Health Care Aide Directory (if applicable)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English
