During our busiest season, spring and summer, we offer a massive selection of annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs, soils, barks and outdoor gardening goods. Usually at least one weekend day, as those are our busiest days of the week.Compensation: This role starts at $16 per hour, moving to $18 per hour after a successful 3-month probationary period, with room to grow in future.Description of Duties:

• Provide quality and consistent care for the plants in the greenhouse and/or the treelot.
• Assist customers with plant or product inquiries, as well as shopping needs and carry-ous to ensure a positive and professional experience with the Anything Grows brand.
• Ensure garden center standards for cleanliness, organization and professionalism are met at all times.
• Ensure products and plants are stocked appropriately and looking good!
• Regularly organize the garage to keep overflow merchandise organized and accessible.
• Help with grounds and building maintenance throughout the year.
• Count and price new stock orders as they arrive, helping to lead other team members when completing large new-order arrivals.
• Provide basic leadership to seasonal staff in spring and summer, helping to ensure all of our bases are covered.
• Maintain a positive work ethic and “team-player” attitude, valuing the opportunity to be invited back for future summers.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically able (some heavy lifting required)
• Plant-oriented, “outdoorsy,” handy
• Experience ‘wearing multiple hats’ or working in a versatile environment
• Independent transportation to work (must be punctual)
• Bonus Points for (not required): Horticultural or gardening experience, Customer service or retail experience
