Job Description

HousekeeperIts an amazing time to join Golden Life as we continue to expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada.We are looking for casual Housekeepers to join our Grande Avenue Village team. If you are a strong team player, then we would like to hear from you!The successful candidate will have related experience and a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.We are looking for someone who will:

  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, preparing cleaning solution, replenishing supplies; and cleaning, disinfecting and storing housekeeping equipment;
  • Assist with laundry as needed.
  • Operate in a safe manner and report any present or potential health and safety hazards to Manager;
  • Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
  • Complete required documentation;
  • Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences;
  • Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
  • Effective communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
  • Grade 10 education or equivalent;
  • Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
