POSITION: Facilities Maintenance - Summer StudentDEPARTMENT:Facilities ManagementLOCATION: Cochrane REFERENCE:800-10-25SALARY: $17.30/hourWHO WE ARE:Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) is an Agency of the Province of Ontario that provides efficient and vital transportation services.We employ over 900 skilled professionals and are over 120 years old and proud of our heritage and connection to the communities we serve.We are focused on moving forward with the goal of being a valued leader in transportation. MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide walkthrough daily audits of building operations and condition
• Provide quick response maintenance, as per CMMS (Maintenance Ticket system)
• Provide pro-active maintenance projects - painting, office furniture set-up, take down or relocation
• Perform outside duties - clean up and debris removal
• Moving furniture around ONTC Buildings
• Installation of white boards, key board trays etc.
• Summer Term: May to September

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered for school in the Fall of 2024 and provide proof of attendance for the 2024-2025 school year
• Good work ethic, energetic and enthusiastic
• Previous cleaning/labour experience an asset
• Must be committed to Company Health and Safety
• Works independently with little supervision
• Some record keeping ability
• Able to lift 40kg when required
