This position will continue until January 28, 2022 or upon the return of the absent employee. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Learning Support and Administrative teams, the successful candidate will provide one-on-one, small group, and class wide student support in inclusive classroom settings.Desired qualifications include the following:Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility.Demonstrates an understanding of self-regulation, and has experience utilizing self-regulation tools with students.Experience in working collaboratively with the Learning Support Team.Ability to work independently to follow goals as determined by the school team, including service providers, along with data collection as required.Educational Assistant certification or equivalent would be an asset.Willingness and ability to manage the demands of working with students with complex needs (academic and behavioural).SIVA training an asset.We thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those who will be interviewed will be contacted.
