The COBS Bread brand has been built on our commitment to the quality of our product, excellent customer service and a high level of training for our team members.Thank you for your interest in joining COBS Bread and sharing our renowned fresh baked goods with your community.RequirementsAs a Baker at COBS Bread, you will:Work as part of a small team to bake early each morning, following carefully crafted recipesBe responsible for reading production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, moulding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovensBe assigned to a designated area of responsibility (Bowl, Bench, Ovens) and cross-functionally train and learn all three stationsWork alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and contribute to a great customer experience.What we’re looking for:A positive attitude and good organizational skillsMorning people - shifts start as early as 3 amPeople who take pride in a job well done and will look for things to doWeekend work is a requirement as is work on public holidaysDemonstrated commitment to the bakerys success, and to your own developmentPhysical RequirementsContinuous standing/walking for all tasksFrequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kgFrequent turning and reachingOccasional pushing, pulling and some forward bendingAbility to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 metresConstant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful grippingBenefitsWhat’s in it for youThe satisfaction of baking from scratch, and pride in seeing the finished product you’ve helped to createOur training program – robust and ongoing.
