VCA Canada Bellbrae Animal Hospital is currently recruiting for a customer service-focused Client Care Specialist /Technician Assitant to join our clinic. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated!Key responsibilities and attributes in your role as Tech Assistant/Vet Assistant include:Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatmentsCreate a warm and welcoming environment for our patient and pet parentsCreate a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patientsGeneral housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areasCompassion and nurturing attitudeAbility to remain calm in stressful situations and to adapt to changing situationsEfficient in carrying out assignments independentlyTakes initiative to complete tasks throughout the dayAdditional responsibilities and qualities required for the role of Client Care Specialist include:Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectivelyPlacing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookingsRespond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messagesAdmitting and discharging pet patientsInvoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing paymentsScheduling appointmentsExcellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environmentStrong organizational skillsWillingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatmentsPrevious customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset!No experience with animals, no problem, so long as you love animals!VCA Canada Offers!At our core are our people – people with different strengths and interests that enrich our diversity, innovation, and excellence.
