Job Description

Job DescriptionCEDA is looking for Journeyman Pipefitters for an upcoming shutdown in the Conklin area.Anticipated start date is August 15th, 2024 and ending September 15th 2024 (possibility of extension)Extensive knowledgeamp; experience working with steam generationamp; working in confined spaces.As a Journeyman Pipefitter, you will play a crucial role in replacing piping, conducting steam generation tasks, and performing tank and vessel repairs within our facility.Open to DSP’sWhat We Offer:

Key Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:
  • Replace piping systems efficiently and accurately to ensure smooth operation of equipment during and after the shutdown.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on steam generation systems, including boilers and associated components.
  • Perform repairs and replacements on tanks and vessels, adhering to safety standards and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete tasks within the specified timeframe.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Document work performed, including any modifications or improvements made during the shutdown project.
Role Specifications:
  • Journeyman Pipefitter certification required. Will consider Apprentice Pipefitters with relevant experience
  • Proven experience in replacing piping systems and conducting repairs on steam generation equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of tank and vessel repair techniques, including welding and fabrication.
  • Must be confident in working within confined spaces
  • Extensive knowledgeamp; experience working with steam generation
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics related to piping systems and equipment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and project stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required to complete the shutdown project on schedule.
Requirements:
  • Valid class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Certificates: H2S Alive, CSO or CSTS2020, Fall protection, Confined Space – Monitoramp; Entry, Standard first aid with CPR are required
