Job Description

Gus is seeking a highly dynamic person to join our team.A long-term career / Major projects / An experienced teamWe are currently looking for a Project Manager, Residential who will report to the Manager. He/she will be responsible for all aspects of project management under his/her responsibility. He/she will plan, organize, direct and control all activities related to projects, in collaboration with the foreman.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage numerous projects simultaneously while respecting the deadlines, the allocated budget and the quality standards in effect in the organization.
  • Establish and monitor construction schedules and budgets.
  • Encourage and supervise health and safety on the construction sites.
  • Ensure the quality of the work (inspections, deficiency lists, corrective measures).
  • Coordinate the delivery of homes to clients.
  • Maintain effective communication between all parties regarding progress, problems and issues encountered.
  • Follow up and control the start of construction.
  • Analyze documents and plans.
  • Coordinate and maintain a good follow-up of the site tasks with the foreman.
  • Participate in the preparation and management of calls for tenders and the awarding of contracts to subcontractors.
  • Supervise subcontractors and follow up on corrections requested.
  • Give site instructions.
  • Verify invoices and ensure that they are processed through accounts payable.
  • Update the budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate the tasks of the project assistants assigned to the projects under his/her management.
  • Approve employee time sheets.
  • Monitor staffing, materials, and tool inventory.
  • Coordinate the design of model homes and their maintenance.
  • Manage project completion to ensure that all end-of-project documents are completed.
  • Follow up on cadastral surveys.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the field
  • Thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and procedures applicable to the construction industry
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Good knowledge of the study of plans and specifications
  • Good planning skills
  • Ability to delegate
  • Manage your agenda and priorities
  • Demonstrate technical and professional know-how
  • Computer skills (Office suite, AutoCAD would be an asset)
  • Motivate the team and have leadership skills
  • Demonstrate an analytical and synthetic mind
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions
  • Communicate orally and in writing, in French
  • Knowledge of English (asset)
