Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. You can contribute to that success while building your career.Nature and ScopeThe Maintenanceamp; Security Coordinator plays a critical role as part of the team that provides safe, clean and efficient environment at SIIT. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT #39;s vision, mission, and mandate.General AccountabilityThe incumbent is responsible for providing building maintenance services along with all related aspects of safety and security. The Maintenanceamp; Security Coordinator focuses on facility operations that mitigate risk and ensure the safety of SIIT #39;s employees, visitors and assets.Specific AccountabilitiesThe Maintenanceamp; Security Coordinator will provide services regarding maintenance procedures and building operations to all of the SIIT sites. The incumbent will address mechanical issues, respond to technical queries, and promote best practices in health and safety. The Coordinator provides support in the Facilities department and is an active member of the Occupational Healthamp; Safety Committees.
