Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. Recognized under provincial legislation, the Institute has been conferred authority to grant certificates and diplomas. SIIT welcomes over 2400 students into our urban and community programs annually as well as serving over 6000 clients through our nine Career Centres across the province. You can contribute to that success while building your career.Nature and ScopeReporting directly to the Associate Dean, Trades and Industrial, the Toolsamp; Equipment Officer focuses on trade centre organization, inventory control, and tool crib post program clean up. In collaboration with Program Coordinators and Instructors, ensure that all trade centres and tool cribs are maintained in state of readiness for program delivery and are not being used to store items un-related to their intended use. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT #39;s vision, mission, and mandate.General AccountabilityOn a casual, as needed basis, this position is accountable for establishing, effective inventory control processes, and ensuring our tools and equipment are in a state of readiness consistent with SIIT standards and processes. The role provides shop, equipment and tool crib functions in support of T amp;I program delivery in urban and rural locations. There is a requirement to be thorough, well organized, and conscientious to ensure high quality work.
