Job Title: Mental Wellness Clinician - Full time, permanent.Location of Position: Corner Brook, NLHours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per weekRate of Pay: $50, 000Job Description: The Mental Wellness Clinician is responsible for delivering outreach to Qalipu communities, as well as individual or group supports for members by providing a continuum of services such as: prevention, promotion, and educational activities; assessments and care planning for individuals and families; and consultation on cultural and clinical interventions.The Mental Wellness Clinician supports Qalipu First Nation with the development and delivery of mental health and wellness programs that utilizes cultural, spiritual, and conventional evidence-based frameworks to address the wholistic health of individuals, families, and the community. The incumbent supports and collaborates with individuals, the community, and partnering organizations with a combination of cultural supports and professional clinical information that improves the mental health and wellness of the community.The Mental Wellness Clinician supports and collaborates with provincial governments, courts, child and youth services, and organizations to advocate for the youth protection, welfare, and justice.Responsibilities:The Mental Wellness Clinician will work collaboratively with individuals, departmental staff, community organizations, and government branches pertaining to the mental health and social needs of community members. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
