Job Title: Receptionist, Full-Time, Permanent PositionLocation of Position: Corner Brook, NLHours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pmRate of Pay: $30,000./per annum The Receptionist ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the office. Supports the Director of Operations and other staff. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors to the office. Duties will require the Receptionist to provide information to members over the telephone and in person on the services the Band provides. The Receptionist is responsible for Petty Cash, Office Supplies, Promotional Sales, and maintaining the calendar for the Community Room. The Receptionist is responsible to ensure that the office is clean and well maintained.Responsibilities:Greet members/ clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly mannerAnswer general telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous mannerReceives and sorts incoming mail and faxes.Directs telephone inquiries to the appropriate staff membersReplies to general information requests with accurate informationEnsure that the building is clean and well maintainedEnsures that H & S checks are conducted on a daily basisEnsures that visitors to the organization are aware of H & S hazardsManages sign-in and sign-out recordsManages office supplies for the organizationManages the Petty Cash, ensuring the security of the funds on handManages bookings for use of the Community roomManages Promotional sale items for all office locations, ensuring that sufficient stock is on hand at all times, prepares items for sale at functions. Tabulates sales receipts, balances cash received. Ensures all promotional items are securely storedMaintains confidentially and protects the privacy of the internal operations and activities of the BandEnsures strict code of conduct and conflict of interest policies are maintainedMaintains a positive and professional attitudeQualifications:Education: Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Business Administration, or other related training.Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an office setting. The successful applicant must be proficient in Computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.Working Conditions:Receptionists work in an office environmentReceptionists work a standard work weekReceptionists may be required to work overtime hours such as attending meetingsSome light lifting is required using the proper lifting techniquesReceptionists are required to sit for long periods of time.
