Now, we are expanding our global team and looking for talented individuals like you!Position DescriptionTitle: Industrial Electrician Department: MaintenanceLocation: CornwallReports to: Maintenance ManagerPosition Overview: The Industrial Electrician plays a key role in supporting production by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and control systems. This position serves as the primary point of contact for resolving electrical issues related to production lines, machinery, and facility systems, helping to ensure safe operations, minimal downtime, and optimal performance.Principle Accountabilities

  • Perform routine testing of electrical systems to ensure efficiency and reliability
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on electrical equipment and devices
  • Clean electrical contacts, circuit boards, and related components
  • Upgrade outdated wiring and electrical devices as needed
  • Assist with tasks related to electrical systems and controls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in machinery, systems, and fixtures
  • Identify and correct electrical faults to minimize downtime
  • Remove and replace defective electrical components as required
  • Install new machinery and ensure proper electrical setup
  • Educate production staff on preventative maintenance best practices
  • Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Recommend future electrical repairs and system improvements
  • Create and submit requests for necessary electrical parts and supplies
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that supports teamwork and mutual respect
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Red Seal Certification (Interprovincial Qualification) is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required
  • Experience with PLC systems is an asset
  • Experience with work planning and continuous improvement is an asset
  • Strong manual dexterity and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical malfunctions
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of risk management
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts
  • Strong mathematical skills
