Job Description

Position CLERK I (Casual)Department Food StoreLocation CoronachResponsibilities

  • To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
  • To operate point of sale system and provide packaging of customer purchases, and carry out service of purchases in an efficient, professional manner.
  • To be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
  • Provide customer service to the “Hassle Free Guarantee” standards and ensure customers are handled in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner.
  • To perform housekeeping duties, including but not limited to cleaning, filling and facing shelves as per merchandising standards.
  • To assist with inventory counts as assigned.
  • To operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • To adhere to all Southland Co-op policies and procedures.
  • To perform opening and closing procedures.
  • To adhere to company loss prevention, security, and safety policies and procedures. Be alert to the unauthorized removal of merchandise and alert the supervisor of any occurrence.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and weekends.
  • Willingness to further knowledge through training.
  • Physically able to do heavy lifting.
  • A desire and ability to work with the public.
