JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition SummaryMaintenance Supervisor is responsible for organizing a shift work unit involved with mechanical maintenance and repair of equipment. Administer routine and emergency repair and maintenance and servicing of mechanical components on mobile mining equipment.Supervisor ResponsibilitiesThis position has formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise, coordinate and monitor routine maintenance mobile mining equipment.Coordinate activities for the maintenance crews; provide training as needed.Coordinate the availability of parts for maintenance projects.Identify and balance resource demands on workgroup; approve time cards.Communicate performance expectations to crew members and address any performance issues that can be improved.Ensure employees are in compliance with all company policies/procedures and safety regulations.Conduct weekly tool box meetings and perform shop inspections at the beginning of each shift.Perform related tasks as required.JOB REQUIREMENTSTypical Physical DemandsWork in a safe manner at all times and be aware of environmental responsibilities both in an office and manufacturing setting. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.Typical Working ConditionsNormal office environment.Education and ExperienceBachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 5 years of related work experience.Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.Licenses, Registration, and CertificationsPossess appropriate certificates applicable to the role.Must be able to obtain a Mining Supervisor certification.Skills/CompetenciesLeadership.Organizational.Communication.Decision Making.Problem SolvingQuick Apply
