  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Building Systems Technology or in a field related to the position from a recognized post-secondary institution (Attestation, Certificate, Diploma) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position (i.e.: heating, ventilation systems).
Degree equivalencyExperience:
  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of Building Structures and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with materials and equipment used in the maintenance of facilities.
  • Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience performing inspections and keeping records.
If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)Education:
  • 5th Class Power Engineer Interprovincial Certificate.
Degree equivalencyOperational Requirements:
  • Willing to work out of doors including work in inclement weather and cold, wet or hot environments.
  • Willing to work in confined spaces and areas requiring fall protection equipment.
  • Willingness to drive snow removal equipment.
  • Must be legal to work in the United States of America and Canada for the Coutts. AB border crossing.

  • Reliability Status security clearance.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 or better driver #39;s license.
  • Be able to report to work within short notice (ie: 60 mins).

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime (including weekends) and to accept an on-call 24/7 on a standby rotational schedule.
  • Physically capable of climbing up and down ladders and in and out of confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift or move heavy objects up to 25 kg while practicing proper safety procedures.
