As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!BA Blacktop, part of the Terus Construction Ltd. group, is looking to hire Labourers based in Cranbrook, BC.Duties/Tasks

  • General laborer duties associated with road construction.
  • Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
  • Operate equipment as needed.
  • Equipment cleanup as needed.
  • May be called upon to run small power tools.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
  • Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience
  • Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent required
  • Previous experience on a road construction crew is an asset
Requirements
  • Out of town travel as required.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
  • Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
