  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of 1 year of related experience*. Preference may be given to applicants with a Master’s Degree or higher, OR
  • A combination of education and related experience* may be considered.
  • Related Experience includes all of the following:
  • Researching policy issues AND conducting policy analysis.
  • Managing projects And/OR project components.
  • Writing information AND decision notes for senior decision-makers.
  • Developing internal AND external guidance And/OR standard operating procedures (e.g., could include “how to” documents for following regulations).
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in 1 or more of the following:
  • Policy development in emergency response or environmental protection
  • Working on legislative and/or regulatory development
  • Policy development in relation to the Environmental Management Act and its associated regulations
  • The field of hazardous material response and/or emergency management
  • Coordinating multi-stakeholder meetings with federal, indigenous, local government, environmental organization, and industry participants
