Its focus, overall, is College of the Rockies #39; vision of providing the best small college experience in Canada. Responsibilities include the design and delivery of a wide range of services to support student success: recruitment, registration and admissions; learning support and assessment; educational advising; counselling; health and wellness; accessibility services; college-to-career transition; housing; and student life and athletics. The VP has responsibility to provide leadership for Student Services functions while developing innovative strategies to support a student body that is growing in diversity, particularly for indigenous and International learners.As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP Students will actively engage all members of the college community, championing an open and collaborative dialogue to support the development of a student-ready culture across College of the Rockies #39; multiple community campusesQualifications:

  • Master #39;s Degree in a related field is preferred, with a minimum of seven years of demonstrated experience in progressive leadership roles that align with the provision of student services, preferably within a post-secondary and/or public sector environment.
  • Demonstrated success in providing responsive and innovative student services.
  • Detailed knowledge of related legislation, regulations, governance structures, and policy including the B.C. College and Institute Act.
  • Experience working with marginalized or multi-barriered individuals with a demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion for all.
  • Experience with the development and administration of budgets
