As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!Job SummarThe full-time Equipment Coordinator position is based in Crescent Valley, British Columbia. As part of the Management team, you will work with the operating companies to plan and execute Equipment Maintenance and Utilization strategies in the BC South Division. You will provide insight and leadership to optimize, maintain and upgrade capital assets.Main Responsibilities

  • Work with Head Office Asset Manager in regard to all asset management functions.
  • Support Operations in budgeted equipment procurement and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance to equipment/asset management corporate guidelines and strategies
  • Develop, and monitor plans and programs for the efficient and effective management of assets.
  • Prepare and present a range of reports including Capex, Equipment Utilization for use by operating company management team
  • Recommend measures for improvement from an asset management perspective
  • Travel regularly to operations sites to conduct inspections and assessments and support local management in resolving issues surrounding their area of responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement asset sell off strategy for old and obsolete equipment
  • Provides recommendations to optimize equipment efficiencies and implement the equipment replacement schedule
  • Support operations to ensure efficient inventory management and maintenance functions.
  • Ensure that operations track records of fuel consumption, licenses, inspections, warranties and service agreements for the division’s fleet, production equipment and fixed assets.
  • Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
Profile

  • Extensive background in reading and understanding equipment manuals.
  • Proficiency in software platforms such as Excel, Word, and JD Edwards.
Experience/Education
  • Combination of technical training, paired with vocational education, such as licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic certificate OR a degree in mechanical engineering with vocational experience
  • 5 plus years of experience in the construction industry.
