The primary role of the Childcare Worker is to assist with childcare while under the direct supervision of the Caregiver, or their designate and assist with general housekeeping.Responsibilities -Supervise and monitor the safety of children/youth -Assist with cooking meals and organizing snack.-Assist with children #39;s daily routines relating to eating, resting, hygiene, and bathroom use Change diapers of infants and toddlers as required -Organize and participate in recreational activities which may include outside play or structured developmental activities -Assist children with homework as required -Support the emotional and social development of children and youth -Perform housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and cleaning related to the general upkeep of the household; Sanitize toys and play equipment as needed -Accompany children to and from school, appointments, or outings as requested and agreed upon with the SFFA Program Coordinator and the Foster Parent or Caregiver -Identify any signs of a childs emotional or developmental challenges and discuss with the Foster Parent or CaregiverExperience-Must be 18 years of age or older -1 years of relevant childcare experience in addition to education-Criminal Record Check inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check -Must have Valid Drivers License -Job experience preferred in one of the following fields: daycare, educational assistant.
