Experience in maintenance equipment will be considered too.Equipment in the Plant and what does it involve

• You will have the ability to conduct regular maintenance in the plant and completing daily inspections. This includes reporting any equipment deficiencies and mechanical issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• You will be responsible for well-being of the equipment on a daily basis by ensuring the work environment is clean and safe.
• You are able to execute and complete the changeover procedures within the plant.
• You are able to handle and communicate with vendors such as truck drivers to provide great customer service when needed.
• You have the ability to demonstrate and follow good procedures and processes when it comes to regulatory requirements and handle adequate quality control protocols such as processes relating to phases of production, shipping, and receiving.
• You will be expected to work on an individual basis, but work with others regarding to the maintenance of the equipment as the work environment is highly focused on good safety practices.
• Working an evening shift from 1:30pm to 10pm, we also have another shift coming up that is 10pm to 6am (if that is more appealing)

What are we looking for

• Have experience working in plant operations or agriculture.
• Have the availability to work an evening shift from 1:30pm to 10pm (we also have an over night st coming up from 10pm to 6am too, if that is more appealing)
• Experience as a Plant Operator, Processing Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator, Farm Hand/Labourer or Maintenance Technician would be preferred.
• Have the ability to recognize and provide suggestions on improving processes in the Plant.
• Have the passion to foster a team culture environment by sharing knowledge with team members and collaborating on a daily basis.
• Have the ability to write and talk in English – able to communicate is very key in this role!
• Need a strong person who can lift physically as the role requires a person to lift around 50 pounds and is able to move around quite a bit.
• Be aware of all PPE regulations in the work environment and be a safety advocate to ensure you and your employees are safe.
• Must be able to legally work in Canada
