Our expert solutions encompass an array of game-changing technologies, including state-of-the-art sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems.Join us in shaping the future of naval warfare and together, we will safeguard the seas and empower navies worldwide!In this role, the IFS Business Systems Analyst will be playing a key role, responsible for supporting multiple IFS instances across UK/CAN as part of a global team.You will be speaking with clients, understanding their Business processes, Data, needs and identifying process and system improvements to the IFS systems. This role would suit someone with hands on IFS experience looking for a new role, looking for a new role working for a globally leading Engineering and Defence company where you will be heavily invested in and provided with a clear line of progression.The main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for business analysis services across the IFS estate, defining and understanding the clients #39; business process, functions, and data, identifying areas for process and system improvements including quantifying potential business benefits and, where necessary, performing detailed systems specification, design, and development of IT application solutions to support the business.The IFS Business Systems Analyst reports to the IFS Team Lead and is accountable to the Global IT Applicationsamp; PMO Director. Under project scenarios the IFS Functional Analyst is also accountable to the Project Manager, Scrum Master and Product OwnerNationality RequirementsCandidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.Key Responsibilities as follows:

  • Conduct investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks.
  • Work closely with Product owners, process owners, project managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to recommend options and define priority.
  • Use appropriate tools to contribute to the development of system architectures in specific business or functional areas.
  • Produce detailed component specifications and translate these into detailed designs for implementation in IFS Solution.
  • Re-configuration and/or re-implementation of existing functionality.
  • Development of customizations that alter and/or enhance the existing functionality.
  • Work closely with other Team members to deliver significant change programs which may affect multiple business functions.
  • Contribute to the systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business.
  • Take responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, processes, procedures, organization, and equipment.
  • Use data analysis and modelling techniques to develop and maintain data structures to support business solutions, ensuring adherence to corporate data standards and provide advice and guidance to developers.
Qualifications/Skills:Essential:
  • Excellent knowledge of IFS Apps 9 IEamp; Apps 10 IE including:
  • IFS System Administration - General Support and Troubleshooting
  • IFS Backend Administration - Server/Environment, Patching and Support
  • IFS Access Control - Administration of User Access Rights/Permissions
  • IFS Tech Development - Development of Custom Objects, Events, LobbiesReports, etc.
  • Report Design using IFS Report Designer
  • Report Design using Crystal Report Designer
  • IFS Data Manipulation - Data Migrationamp; Mass Updates
  • Helpdesk Support - Operationamp; Administration (both internal helpdesks and IFS Tech Support Portal)
  • Production of documentation for developed solutions and fixes
  • Training, development, and mentoring of other team membersamp; colleagues.
  • Possess broad understanding of business and business activities with deep knowledge in at least one area of specialization.
  • HND/bachelor #39;s degree level or hold a relevant experience in Business / Systems / Functional Analysis / Knowledge in a relevant business discipline / professional qualification.
  • Demonstrate a systematic, disciplined analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and is experienced at stakeholder management.
  • Fully aware of the importance of commercial constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to recognize potential assignments outside own areas of specialization and bring to bear appropriate expertise as necessary.
  • Wide understanding of software development life cycle and approaches (especially working in an Agile environment)
  • Detailed knowledge of corporate data standards
  • Self-motivated, able to plan and schedule own work in a set time horizon.
  • Willingness to learn New IFS capabilities and solutions.
  • Obtain/maintain security clearance.
