Job Description

Cabinet Builder PositionStart as soon as possibleWage $20-25 hrBased on 42.5 hours per week, M-F, 07:00 to 16:00Health benefits planRRSP BenefitsPermanent Full-timeJob DescriptionApplicants will be responsible for the construction of a variety of commercial casework and fixtures. Candidates must have the ability to read and understand plans and shop drawings and be able to build custom pieces in an efficient manner. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also required. Commercial cabinetmaking and installation experience and/or completion of a recognized cabinetmaking/carpentry program would be considered assets. Familiarity with large woodworking machinery is also preferred.RequirementsStrong eye for qualityAbility to work as part of a team and individually as wellAbility to read drawingsAbility to meet deadlinesAble to take directions and complete task competentlyPhysically demanding, weight handling up to 20kg, with help mechanically or with other team members help if over this.Steel toe safety bootsExperience in building cabinets and commercial millwork featuresExperience using hand tools and large saws/millwork machineryPersonal SkillsEffective interpersonal skills, a team playerExcellent writtenamp; oral communicationReliable, able to use good judgement and has patienceCommon sense around machineryMust work well with others
