Farnell Packaging Limited (FPL) is a family owned and operated flexible packaging manufacturer. Employing over 200 people at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia facility, our responsive and dedicated staff continues to produce quality solutions guided by our founder’s values and today’s evolving marketplace. Farnell Packaging Limited manufactures and distributes leading-edge flexible packaging materials and provides guidance with related equipment solutions. Nearly two-thirds of FPL packaging is used in the food industry with the balance used in markets for textile, tissue, diapers, paper, industrial and promotions. Our products are distributed globally and can be found on every grocery store aisle. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Customer Service team in the role of Customer Service Representative (Bilingual). The Customer Service Representative acts as a representative of Farnell Packaging and will respond promptly to customer requests regarding custom or stock items on new business or existing products. Key Job Duties:Handles inquiries regarding packaging needs for new and existing customers and initiates a quotation or an order to be scheduled into production or other appropriate action. Ensures the customer contact information is accurate and updates the file for any changes. Receives, verifies for accuracy and processes orders for stock items to be shipped from inventory. Receives verifies and processes order forms for custom products that will be scheduled into production and communicates with customers the price and targeted ship date. Processes customer complaints efficiently and communicates to Quality Department for review and resolution following Company procedure. Contributes to the development and maintenance of standards, policies and procedures regarding customer service. Provides support to the department and other Customer Service Representatives when required due to the seasonal nature and requirements of key accounts. Coordinates with the Production Scheduler regarding custom orders and communicates to customers any delay in the production or delivery of product. Coordinates with the Traffic Manager regarding the shipping of product. Ensures and provides quality service and communication to internal customers.Requirements:High School Diploma Intermediate Computer Skills Bilingual or functionally proficient in French Five (5) years of customer service or direct marketing experience. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Knowledge of flexible packaging considered an assetWorking Conditions and Compensation:Eight (8) hour shifts, 40 hours weekly (Monday-Friday) May also work additional or flexible hours based on changing project or internal/ external customer demand.
