Job Description

MatrixHR is currently recruiting Journeyperson Sheet Metal workers for an exciting client of ours located in Halifax NS. Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Journeyperson Installers will work in collaboration with the Halifax installation team:All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance.Installing HVAC Ducting and Equipment:

  • Assess job site and set up equipment prior to commencing work;
  • Follow safety protocol and comply with safety and occupational standards;
  • Read and interpret installation diagrams;
  • Install ductingamp; equipment as per diagrams and direction from the Supervisor;
  • Carry out HVAC installation, which includes ducting, fasteners on hangers and ducts, and insulation;
  • Anchor and hook-up HVAC machinery such as air handling units, fans, chillers, ventilation equipment, etc;
  • Assist in verifying that the HVAC installation is functioning.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment. Noisy.
  • Physically demanding. Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail; good eye-hand coordination.
  • Confined or restricted areas.
Certifications:
  • Confined Space.
  • Fall Protection.
  • WHMIS.
