PRODUCTION ENGINEERING STUDENT - Summer 2024 CO-OPLocated at 3099 Barrington Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3K 5M7, and 35 Micmac Boulevard, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3A 4Y8, Irving Shipbuilding is proud to be Canada #39;s National Shipbuilder.   • Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program in Engineering from one of the following areas:
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Naval Architecture
  • Strong academic performance and a desire to excel.
  • Proven leadership in professional, athletic, school or community pursuits
  • Interest in the shipbuilding, defense, or marine industry and a desire to join an exciting, fast-paced organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, openness to learning new technology.
  • Skilled in organizing and managing a variety of tasks with varying priorities and is a fast learner and effective problem solver.
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance and make improvements to Production/Engineering procedures, processes, and controls,
  • Execution of assigned tasks per your supervisor,
  • Support other engineering initiatives within the team
