You will work as a specialist in the field and perform your duties with little or no supervision in a timely and efficient manner. Your supervisor may assign you other exciting projects and tasks as well.Why Choose Penske:Modern and clean work environment Industry leading technology and tools Competitive salary Attractive shift premiums New equipment and technology from a variety of suppliers/dealerships RRSP program with company match Affordable healthamp; dental benefit package Free uniforms and laundry service Tool and boots allowance Vacation time + 11 paid statutory holidays + paid sick days Tuition reimbursement Employee Assistance Program Comprehensive technical and professional training Opportunity for advancement throughout the company Partner’s discountsMain Responsibilities:Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order Maintain work area appearance and safety Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and adjustments Inspect and maintain various components and systems of the vehicles, such as brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, etc. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication Replace, tighten, and reassemble equipment as needed Raise vehicles and heavy parts using hydraulic jacks or hoists Inspect and diagnose equipment malfunctions using test instruments Examine and adjust safety devices, protective guards, and specified parts Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting major components of vehicles Complete other projects and tasks assigned by supervisorQualifications:No prior warehouse experience required but preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required Ability to work independently, provide excellent customer service, multitask, and manage time effectively Flexible to work overtime preferred Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specific location Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening requiredThis position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
