Job Description

As the Warehouse Clerk you will be responsible for the shipping and receiving of security devices, participating in inventory counts, and other clerical duties, including data entry and database management.The successful candidate will be reliable, organized and efficient with strong attention to detail.In more detail, the warehouse clerk will:

  • Perform daily management of a parts ordering queue and respond to inquiries by phone, email and chat.
  • Order, receive and restock parts as required.
  • Create and process purchase orders.
  • Check accuracy of received products, stock them and record in inventory.
  • Perform clerical duties including data entry and database maintenance; maintain accurate information in ERP system.
  • Based on purchase orders, pick products accurately, pack them and prepare for shipment.
  • Under general supervision, coordinates a variety of shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Participate in inventory counts.
  • Prepares shipments for delivery; selects appropriate shipping container wrap; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
Required Knowledge/Skill:
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 50 pounds using proper safety methods
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
  • Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
Experience:
  • 6 months or more of shipping and/or receiving experience preferred
  • Knowledge of common warehouse procedures
  • Pallet jack experience, a plus
This is a full-time entry level position, with a starting wage of $18/hour. Other benefits include medical / dental, paid vacation, personal and sick time and RRSP.WSL01
