Job Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Foreman, a Summer StudentMaintenance Worker maintains MVSD buildings, grounds, maintenance equipment, furnishings andtools. Travel around division is required.FTE/HRS:

  • 8 hours/day, Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Start Date: July 4, 2022End Date: August 12, 2022(6 weeks)REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be attending an educational institution and returning to school in the fall of 2022
  • Capable of performing labour intensive work
  • Hold a valid MB Drivers license (minimum Class 5)
  • Access to reliable transportation
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to operate small machinery
  • Working knowledge of basic cleaning methods, materials and equipment
  • Ability to perform duties that require lifting
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of WHMIS
