Job Description

Dauphin Ford is a Ford dealership that operates in Dauphin, MB and serves the Parkland area. Our dealership also has a full after sales suite that includes service, parts, accessories and collision centre. We are looking for a Parts Manager to join our team.The Parts Manager is responsible for the success of his/her store’s parts business. The Parts Manager is an experienced leader who understands the importance of strong relationships with service, sales and Dauphin Ford customers. They must be flexible and be able to work well under pressure of deadlines, changing priorities and last minute changes. He/She will oversee inventory management, showroom maintenance, daily customer service and the store’s overall parts business.Job Description

  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of the Parts Department, including overseeing Parts Advisors and the flow of paperwork
  • Enhance Parts Department processes by developing and implementing improved processes aimed at efficiency, effectiveness and delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Manage inventory mins and max, turns and replenish inventory as required to support parts sales and parts availability for technicians’ usage. Employ strategies that would increase inventory turnover and reduce dormant/obsolete inventory.
  • Assume responsibility for all parts to be returned and use return allowances to a maximum level.
  • Analyze parts sales, costs, on-hand inventory and department expenses monthly.
  • Plan and strategically execute ways to meet and exceed revenue and profit objectives in keeping with dealership policies while emphasizing quality of service.
  • Prepare and administer the annual operating budget for the Parts Department
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing wholesale client base and retail customer base
  • Maintain excellent communication with both our internal and external customers including but not limited to responding to customer complaints and updating on back-ordered parts.
  • Develop, maintain and promote a positive corporate culture that values excellent customer service through effective training, supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Provide overall leadership, mentoring, motivation, supervision and development of the Parts Department.
  • Manage and determine the training program to ensure proper levels of proficiency are maintained with all product lines offered.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment for Parts area and advisors while implementing Dauphin Ford safety procedures.
The Ideal Candidate will Have:
  • Knowledge of and a passion for the Automotive Industry.
  • Previous experience as a senior parts/inventory person, assistant parts manager, or parts manager or relevant experience is required
  • Experience leading a team and enjoy working in a team atmosphere
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of superior customer service.
  • Proficient with computers and basic computer programs; PBS experience is an asset
  • Detail-oriented individual who is able to prioritize and maintain workloads
  • A self-starter with the an eagerness to learn new systems and processes
  • High attention to detail and effective organizational skills
  • Capable of lifting and moving merchandise
