Job Description

Qualifications:Essential:
  • Extensive experience in a secretarial or administrative support position.
  • Experience proofreading, editing and preparing correspondence, processing mail, and providing reception services and records management.
  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience in Microsoft office (such as Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience providing customer service and dealing with the public.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Desired:
  • Experience with timekeeping
Duties:The Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative and frontline reception support in a timely and professional manner for a number of (senior) staff in the Regional office. The Region is multi-functional with a wide range of professionals, paraprofessionals and field employees operating in all areas of the Region. This position will interact effectively with department employees, staff from other government agencies and members of the public to ensure a high level of customer service. Two positions in the Regional office share equally in these responsibilities.
