Job Description

To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.dauphinco-op.crs.What Youll Do: The Anhydrous/Fleet Manager is responsible for managing, overseeing, and leading the direction, strategy, and overall operations of highly seasonal Anhydrous sites in Dauphin and Ste Rose, as well as the management of the direction, operations, and legislative safety requirements of Dauphin Co-op’s fleet.The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: · Proficient understanding of, and ensuring compliance with, Industry and Environmental regulations· Ensure adherence to Dauphin Co-op Policies, Safe Work Procedures, Collective Agreement, and all association rules.· Ensure proper management of assets and adherence to a maintenance schedule in consultation with the Agro Division Manager· Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment is used as per company policy.· Ensure safe operation of all equipment is being followed in the department.· Communicate the need to out-source mechanical needs to ensure safe operations.· Maintain and practice a high degree of competency and skill in the operation of all NH3 equipment.· Assist the Agro Division Manager to prepare, administer, and be responsible for the sales, margin, expenses, inventory, and SPEH of the Agro Division.· Complete annual business plan for department and assist Agro Division Manager to prepare the annual budget and ensure claims, invoices, and all other paperwork is done timely, accurately, and meets policy and procedure.· Develop and maintain staff work schedules and ensure schedules are compliant with National Safety Code.· Purchasing and invoicing of product, following the purchase order system and ensuring all completed orders are processed and forwarded to the appropriate person.· Establish the temporary employee requirement for each season.· Ensure all audit protocols, regarding safety and maintenance are maintained and kept current.· Act as a facilitator for the resolution of product complaints between the customer and supplier within the shortest possible time frame.· Maintain existing customer base and expand the customer base through an effective strategic marketing and networking strategy.Qualifications: · Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.· Effective verbal and written communication skills.· Proven understanding of agricultural practices.· Excellent time-management and organizational skills.· Proficient understanding of National Safety Code· Proficient understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia protocols and application.· Must possess a valid Class 1 Driver’s LicenseWorking Conditions: · May be required to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and at times long hours.· Position will require travel within the trading area and other locations as required for meetings and/or training.· This position may require long periods of standing, sitting and use of a computer.Join our team!
