We are looking to a Head Brewer to take our company and our beers to the next level. The right candidate will be someone who wants to help grow the business. We are located in Dauphin, Manitoba. 15 minutes from the entrance to Riding Mountain National Park and Northgate Trails. Dauphin is the host of Country Fest, Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival and many other great events that makes Dauphin a great place to live. *Duties & Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of brewing production and operations including:Brewing Operations
  • Understand, operate, and maintain brewing equipment accurately and safely
  • Recipe development: brew on the pilot or scale existing ideas to the 5hl brewhouse
  • Management of raw materials and inventory: preparing, organizing, and tracking materials needed for brewing (including kegs, cans, and bottles).
  • Cellar and operations control: familiar with all the equipment involved in brewing and its consistent inspection and operation (including kegging and canning processes)
  • Collects beer samples throughout brewing process and operations
  • Maintaining draft lines and beer stock
Quality Control
  • Monitor production and product quality
  • Maintain brewery logs and quality tracking
  • Build on and improve existing quality control systems where needed
  • Conduct all appropriate tests on beer during production and after packaging.
Health and Safety
  • Cleaning regiments: Adheres to quality standards of sanitation and hygiene including cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and utensils involved in the brewing process
  • Housekeeping: Inspection of equipment and performance to ensure that they meet sanitation expectations
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient brewhouse that promotes accident prevention, elimination
Experience & Skills:
  • At least 1 year of commercial brewing experience
  • Successful graduate of brewing industry education preferred
  • Strong understanding and technical skills of brewery equipment and the science of brewing
  • Able to lift heavy weight (approx. 50lbs) and work at heights (ladders).
