Req Id: 356576At Bell, we do more than build world-class networks, develop innovative services and create original multiplatform media content – we advance how Canadians connect with each other and the world.If you’re ready to bring game-changing ideas to life and join a community that values, professional growth and employee wellness, we want you on the Bell team.Bell’s Field Services team is proud to be the face of the Bell brand, performing the best installation and repair services and maintaining Bell’s network for our residential and business customers.The Manager, District Services is accountable for leading a team of technicians responsible for the installation, repair and ongoing support of the Bell MTS Switched, Transport, and Wireless Networks as well as Outside Plant infrastructure and the Bell MTS portfolio of services. These services include, voice, TV, Internet, data, and networking products and services that are delivered throughout an expansive geographical area. They provide an active leadership role in developing the teams overall success in a performance management environment.The Manager provides a visible contact and escalation point for internal and external Bell MTS Customers in addition to First Nations Communities, local municipal governments, land developers and utilities. They are also responsible for managing off hour emergencies for network restorations and essential customer equipment repairs through participation in a Duty Manager rotation.Primary Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership with demonstrated skills and abilities that align with the Bell MTS Strategic Imperatives.
  • Post-secondary education related to Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Certificate in Management (CIM) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience managing a team, or projects, to ensure effective and efficient workload allocation, completion of all daily tasks, reports and other deliverables.
  • Experience with conflict resolution, coaching, team building, motivating, discipline, and employee development skills.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with the Bell MTS workplace safety programs.
  • Experience with support systems used for service provisioning, repair, workforce management, trouble management and financial management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external employees and customers to ensure clarity, understanding and customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Workforce scheduling & dispatching methods.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals, operating systems, and processes. (Wireline Voice, Data, Broadband IP).
  • Knowledge of Bell MTS Collective Agreements, WCB, APP and the Network Outage trouble escalation process.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office productivity tools.
Secondary Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience within a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of Field Operations structure, processes, operating practices, policies and procedures.
