Honey Bee’sHead Cashier (Restaurant & I/C Parlor) NOC - 6211MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Cashier is responsible to supervise and co-ordinate the activities of all workers in the following unit groups: Ice Cream Servers (6421), Cashiers (6611), and Juice bar service attendants. Head Cashiers are employed by establishments and other retail businesses, wholesale businesses that sell on a retail basis to the public.Main Function -

• Supervise and co-ordinate both Ice Cream staff and cashiers
• Assign Ice Cream staff to duties and prepare work schedules
• Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff and monitor and report on performance
• Ensure the visual standards, health standards and image of the Restaurant are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness.
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised
• May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries.

*_ Other duties as required. _ These will be learned onsite with the Operation Manager, Sonia Park-LawrenceREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES The Head Cashier must know:

• How to cash out each shift

• How to manage in a fast paced environment

The Chef should be able to:

• Lead a team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Previous retail sales experience as a retail salesperson or sales clerk, cashier, telemarketer, door-to-door salesperson or rental agent is usually required.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES You need to be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment and know how to schedule yourself properly so there are no gaps in workflow.Essential Employability Skills
