Permanent Farm ManagerWho we are:Array Farms is a progressive family farming operation seeking an experienced full time FarmManager for a permanent position. We are seeking someone who has leadership experience and passion for agriculture!Our mission is to focus on et0hical and profitable grain production on the Canadian prairies.Utilizing modern farming equipment and technology, we grow wheat, canola, barley, and oats.The farm is in west central Saskatchewan, 20 minutes from North Battleford.Position:Under the direction of the CEO, the Farm Manager is responsible for management of field operations, employees, and yard sites. This includes all aspects involved in the grain, yard, maintenance, seeding and harvest operations, including day-to-day task management and GPS operations/training.The ideal candidate will effectively manage and organize daily tasks for themselves and for employees. They effectively organize and assign responsibilities to others. As a natural team leader, this individual will work collaboratively with the farm CEO to ensure productivity is efficient and organized.Who you are:The successful candidate must be an experienced equipment operator and be able to effectively lead others. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively solve problems and deal with conflict. They can lead and motivate others while building relationships with stakeholders.They will have a minimum of 5 years of operational experience and be able to perform and train others on maintenance of tractors, augers, air seeders, harrows, pumps, sprayers, swathers, semis, and combines. They will be well versed with pesticide mixing, grain handling, and hauling grain.Education or training in business or an agriculture related study is highly preferred but not required. A valid driver’s licence is required. Abstract may be requested. Class 1A licence is required . The individual must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, be able to lift 50lbs, be able to reach and bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time.*Safety and efficiency are of utmost importance and must be considered in all decisions*Array Farms offers a competitive salary, workers compensation, and optional living quarters just one mile from the main farmyard.
