Your Opportunity:Please note, this facility provides Long Term Care (LTC) or Designated Supportive Living (DSL) services and by Order of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, many AHS employees are restricted to work only at a single LTC/DSL site for the remainder of the pandemic. Speak to the hiring manager who will confirm if, as the successful candidate in this position, you will be restricted to work at only one LTC/DLS site in Alberta.Description:As a Therapy Aide, you will be working both independently and as part of the interdisciplinary team where you will contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services. Your role may include administrative duties such as ordering supplies, booking clients, tracking attendances, equipment inventory and preparing/cleaning the treatment area. Under the direction of a supervising recreation therapist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, audiologist, or speech language pathologist, you will prepare and/or apply routine interventions, promote patient (client, resident) healthy living, self-care independence and motivate clients to actively participate in assigned therapy protocols or programs.
