Job Description

APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST Location: Moncton, NB The Opportunity: As a technically savvy, focused and driven professional you know what it takes to support complex and leading technologies. Supporting our Moncton based group of companies , you will troubleshoot, monitor performance, release patches and generally own the overall care for the application environment. Working closely with business stakeholders, analysts and technology specialists you will discover challenges the business is facing, then produce solutions and designs that add real value and meet the needs of the business. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in a related field 3 years #39; experience in a technical position, supporting software in professional IT environment Strong experience in configuring or supporting business applications and maintaining technical support documentation Demonstrated experience in applying various problem solving strategies - this would include conducting and identifying root cause analysis and escalating issues as necessary Able to work with complex data systems and perform detailed analysis Technical knowledge in the configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Terminal Service environments Experience with MS SQL Naturally curious, focused and driven with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences Proficiency in MS Office Products Flexible and able to adapt to changing dynamics Your Focus: Assist with configuration, testing and operations of ERP solutions Provide#39;go live #39; and post#39;go live #39; support for projects and solutions in general Provide assistance in creating business requirements for future product enhancements Provide coaching to J.D Irving resources to develop capability for long-term internal support Triage errors if any and assist internal/external resources correct the software Upgrade software or interfaces for better performance of the solutions Continually review the solutions and make recommendations to improve or maintain the solutions Installing of various software Provide coaching and training to the solutions #39; users Support the Delivery/Project managers regarding solutions Monitor the work of external consultants JDI IT: Who we are and what we offer At JDI IT,the belief that what people experience matters more than technologyis part of our foundational core.
