  • Minimum 3+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
  • Prepared a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the past 3 years
  • Experience with various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including students, pensioners, self-employed individuals, rental property owners, investors, and individuals with foreign income
  • Prepared and filed personal returns, including employment, self-employment, rental, investments, T1135, foreign income, and all credits/deductions
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and concepts, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible availability/schedule
  • Considered an asset: bilingual proficiency in English and French, experience with Quebec tax returns (TP1), or support in a contact center environment
How You Will Lead
  • Provide tax guidance for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing role
  • Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Research and address tax questions, communicating directly with customers
  • Offer a full-service experience by assisting in the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns with the CRA
  • Stay updated on tax regulations to provide accurate advice and help customers maximize their tax returns
  • Create positive customer interactions by using empathy, tax knowledge, and expertise
  • Proactively seek answers for customers using reliable resources
  • Apply established practices, procedures, and company policies to resolve customer inquiries
