Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.The Climate Data Analyst will work closely with the environmental affairs subject matter experts and will support them in producing reports, dashboards and productivity tools to meet internal and external compliance needs as well as modeling needs.Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to collect and use information for improved operational performanceWork closely with the Environmental Affairs compliance team to ensure compliance data reporting needs are understood and addressed ahead of deadlinesReviewing and analyzing data from multiple internal and external stakeholdersProduce regulatory compliance reports for submission to governmental and other agenciesCommunicating analysis results and making recommendations to relevant stakeholdersProvide support for the business analysis and technology/business integration effortsAnalyze technology trends to determine impact to the achievement of business goalsConduct requirement and systems analysis and translate business requirementsSupport in creating business cases with data modelingSupport Planning and monitoring processesSupport definition and maintenance of methods, techniques and calculations for identifying ways to improve business/technical processesBuild productivity tools to support data modeling and scenario analysisProvide the appropriate data mapping for the ETL specifications and/or various data ingestionProfile source systems dataValidate input data (source)Work closely with the data team to integrate new data sourcesQualificationsMandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st, 2021A relevant University degree/technical certification specifically Computer Science, Science or Environmental Engineering3+ years of relevant experience in analysing and validating Climate data (i.e., GHG emissions)Environmental Affairs knowledge and interest requiredStrong analytical and problem solving skills.Advanced computer skills particularly in the area of BI, databases and statisticsAdvanced skills in such products as PowerBI, MS-Excel, SQL Server, Visual BasicSound knowledge of Microsoft productivity toolsKnowledge of Essbase, Oracle, CGI and Teradata an assetGood writing and presentation skills.Ability to notice, interpret, and anticipate others’ concerns and feelings, and to communicate this awareness empathetically to others.Demonstrates openness and willingness to adapt to different and new ways of doing thingsTakes responsibility for the results and actively participates in the future direction of the organizationDemonstrates concern for satisfying one’s external and/or internal customers.Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skillsSelf-motivated and independent workerResults oriented with proactive and methodical approach to problem solvingAble to multi-task and work under pressure against tight deadlines and changing prioritiesMust be a team player with ability to work closely with diverse groups and working stylesAbility to establish and maintain effective business relationshipsMust be available and able to travel domestically and internationallyFlexibility and willingness to work extended hours, when requiredLinguistic RequirementsBased on equal qualifications, preference will be given to bilingual candidates.Diversity and InclusionAir Canada is strongly committed to Diversity and Inclusion and aims to create a healthy, accessible and rewarding work environment which highlights employees’ unique contributions to our company’s success.As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all to help us build a diverse workforce which reflects the diversity of our customers, and communities, in which we live and serve.Air Canada thanks all candidates for their interest; however only those selected to continue in the process will be contacted.Quick Apply
