Contract Specialist - Pre-Owed Aircraft-MON19876DescriptionBOMBARDIERBombardier is a global leader, creating innovative and game-changing planes. We are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit.In your role, you will be part of the Contracts team supporting Pre-Owned Aircraft transactions at Bombardier Aviation, Business Aircraft and lead all contract negotiation and contract management activities of pre-owned aircraft purchase agreements and related agreements. More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the negotiation of agreements for the purchase and sale of pre-owned private jets (Global, Challenger, and Learjet series) as well as other contractual documents such as amendments, assignments, escrow agreements and services agreements. You will be responsible for drafting complex and specialized terms and conditions that balance Bombardier’s risk and the needs of our unique customers;
  • Support aircraft delivery objectives by providing ongoing commercial and/or legal support to internal and external customers;
  • Drive business results by anticipating risks and, in concert with internal stakeholders, initiate creative and effective mitigation plans to protect aircraft delivery schedules as well as payment inflows;
  • Support and manage aircraft purchase payment inflow objectives by overseeing the contractual payment schedule, invoicing customers in accordance therewith and ensuring appropriate follow-through to successful and timely receipt of funds;
  • Collaborate with a team of highly skilled, highly accomplished business and legal minds to achieve the best results for Bombardier;
  • Manage multi-million dollar cross-border closings on a regular basis.
  • Direct internal stakeholders to align multiple interests with the terms of the agreements you are negotiating;
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Bombardier Maintenance team, Legal Services, Sales, Finance, Tax and Risk Management to ensure rigorous contract compliance and adherence to corporate policies, all while delivering an exceptional customer experience;
  • Participate and contribute to meetings with Bombardier senior management and with high net worth individuals;
  • Being accountable and support our compliance processes and policies;
  • Lead efforts to address continuing improvement to standard agreements.
QualificationsAs our ideal candidate,
  • You hold at least, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law or equivalent;
  • You have 5 years or more of experience in transactional work or deal negotiation;
  • You are customer focused and oriented;
  • You possess strong interpersonal and persuasion skills;
  • You have strong drafting skills in English;
  • You have excellent communication and negotiating skills combined with the ability to understand and interpret contractual terms and conditions;
  • You have the ability to work flexible, extended and/or irregular working hours in line with business demands, together with an ability to travel on short notice;
  • You show strong leadership and have the ability to work autonomously with minimal direction;
  • You are bilingual – French and English. Knowledge of a third language is an asset;
  • Proven experience or knowledge of the aviation industry.
