Job Description

Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Product Marketing, the Creative Lead - Cargo is responsible for developing and managing the Air Canada Cargo brand/creative identity.The Creative Lead - Cargo will take leadership of defining and evolving the Air Canada Cargo brand and creative identity. This role will work collaboratively with the marketing team to strategically and creatively execute against marketing activities - interpreting briefs, uncovering solutions, providing creative direction and overseeing and/or executing a project to completion.The ideal candidate excels in a collaborative environment, is comfortable with technical, operational, and creative subject matter and communication, and is a self-starter. The ideal candidate is excited by creative and storytelling and looking to portray the business innovative nature through a compelling brand identity and engaging creative content.Responsibilities:

  • Leads the creative strategy and effectively translates business objectives into creative outputs for various mediums, including integrated marketing campaigns, print, digital, video, trade shows/events, website landing pages, social, and various sales and/or marketing communications materials
  • Develops the global brand guidelines, providing key assets and setting the guardrails for local adaptation, including defining the fix and flex elements of the system
  • Brand management to ensure communications adhere to established guidelines, at HQ as well as on local levels
  • Lead asset creation projects - video shoots, photo shoots, etc.
  • Lead project management from a creative team perspective, to prioritize marketing requests accordingly
  • Develop creative team processes and identify tools required to excel at creative management and project execution
  • Close collaboration with the tradeshow team to support Air Canada Cargo events and key marquee events
  • Continuously fill the funnel of new ideas - understand and make recommendations on how to turn marketing briefs into compelling brand-building marketing executions
  • Inspire creativity across all touchpoints, understanding that our customers are at the heart of our business
  • Understand overarching global trends, consumer needs, emerging categories and benefits to define the strategies for growth of the brand
Qualifications
  • University education in Communications, Marketing, Design or equivalent experience
  • 5-7+ years of relevant creative experience, with proven experience in brand development and creative leadership; air cargo/logistics/B2B experience is an asset
  • Self-starter who shows initiative and innovation through to execution and launch with a respect for the strategic objectives
  • Experience in through-the-line marketing channels, including print, digital, video, trade shows/events, and social media channels
  • Familiar with a wide range of media formats and design software technologies (Adobe Creative Suite e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc. and Digital Marketing platforms. e.g. Flexitive)
  • Excellent creative design and writing/editing skills and ability to guide and develop creative content
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced, quickly moving environment
  • High levels of ingenuity, creativity, and initiative
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Familiar with a wide range of media formats and design software technologies (Adobe Creative suite e.g. InDesign InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc. and Digital Marketing platforms e.g. Flexitive)
  • Agency experience is considered a plus
  • Bilingual English and French is preferred
  • This position can be located in Montreal (Dorval) or Toronto
