Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.Air Canada Cargo has become over the last years a more and more data and insights driven organization and as Analytics team for the Cargo we are aiming to further elevate our organization to the next level by continuing to innovate and promote the data analytics culture by delivering strategic insights to all of Air Canada Cargo.As the Visualization Analyst, you will help us succeed to augment the customer experience through data visualizations and reporting that are enabled by advanced analytics and ensure state-of-the-art delivery to the decision makers.Reporting directly to the Manager Business Analytics the Visualization Analyst will work in close collaboration with the the Strategic Insights and Analytics team. You will be responsible for leveraging existing and new data sources to deliver meaningful analytics through the creation of data visualizations, interactive dashboards, and reports. You will also continuously innovate by using the latest analytics and business intelligence techniques and best practices to drive improved decision making and answering business questions.Additionally, you will also work closely with the CRM Team and play a key role in the development and creation of dashboards within the Salesforce solution.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations/timing and exceed expectations in creation and maintenance of reporting, analytics, and BI requirements to support and drive the business with strategic insights.Create strong relationships of confidence and trust with the key stakeholdersDevelop a solid understanding of the different business processes to provide the best analytical/visual solution supporting these processesGain in depth experience and understanding of the data landscape at Air Canada CargoAct as a consultant and business partner to the decision makers on their analytical needs to ensure they get the most benefit out of the available datasetsBased on the requirements, collect, and prepare the relevant data from different data sourcesDevelop and implement dashboards while ensuring they fit in the overall Analytics strategyCreate semantic layers and metadata around any new data that is used in the analytical solutionsFully understand the potential and capabilities of the BI tools used (PowerBI and WebFocus) and constantly try to innovate using the latest functionalities and analytics techniquesEstablish a close relationship with the Cargo IT group to ensure that the needs that require IT support are covered and followed-up onIn collaboration with the CRM development team, develop and implement dashboards and reports within the Salesforce solutionQualificationsMandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st 2021University degree with a preference in an analytical discipline such as Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science or similar3 years work experience as a BI developerExperience using business intelligence solutions with tools such as Power BI, WebFocus, Tableau or related BI toolsExperience in the development of dashboards and data visualizationsFamiliarity with agile methodology and sprints with a collaborative mindsetStrong knowledge of databases and data exploration with technologies like Snowflake, Teradata, Azure Cloud platform, Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with Python, R, or JavaScript an assetExperience with Salesforce particularly for reporting and analytics an assetPassion for solving complex business challenges by utilizing latest technology solutionsBe highly driven and able to self-manage in a fast paced and quickly changing environmentPossess strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAble to communicate with both technical and business audiencesVery strong analytical skills and problem-solving skillsAble to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organizationTeam player enjoying working in a collaborative environmentLinguistic RequirementsBased on equal qualifications, preference will be given to bilingual candidates.Diversity and InclusionAir Canada is strongly committed to Diversity and Inclusion and aims to create a healthy, accessible and rewarding work environment which highlights employees’ unique contributions to our company’s success.As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all to help us build a diverse workforce which reflects the diversity of our customers, and communities, in which we live and serve.Air Canada thanks all candidates for their interest; however only those selected to continue in the process will be contacted.Quick Apply
