Just ask!Job LevelNV-08As a Field claims advisor, you help serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients for all claims.You handle high-complexity property insurance claims and medium-complexity accident benefit and bodily injury claims. You investigate and approve claims.You solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive discipline-specific knowledge. You draw on your sound decision-making to develop solutions, negotiate claims settlements and enter into agreements with members, clients, third parties and others.You advise and assist clients, represent Desjardins and enter the organization into important agreements with clients. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.General Information on the PositionMain responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and market value, and produce and review reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts
  • Analyze medical, financial and job information and determine eligibility for benefits based on statutory criteria
  • Settle claims in accordance with the organization #39;s standards, policies and quality commitments as well as the contract terms. Meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and avoid penalties
  • Negotiate with all parties involved to ensure smooth claims processing.
Other working conditions
  • Have a valid driver #39;s license and access to a vehicle for travel
  • Schedule : On a rotating basis, the claims adjuster will be required to be on call during atypical hours (evenings, weekends and nights) by agreement with the manager
  • Workplace: Position located in Montreal, Brossard, Drummondville or Trois-Rivières, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is full-time telework #LI-Remote
  • Travel : According to the type of file on the following territories depending on the candidate #39;s location: Greater Montreal / Montérégie / Eastern Townships
  • Other relevant information : Company car and cell phone provided

Qualifications
  • General college diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Hold the personal lines adjuster license
  • Hold the commercial license (an asset)
  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required.
