The position that we are looking to fill is split between finishing, shop work, and installation help.Finishing involves staining, painting, & finishing stair and railing components in a spray booth. The parts are manufacturered in the shop prior to the finishing process. It involves mixing stains for color matching, conditioning/prepairing wood for finishing, applying stain, paint, sealers, & top coats.Shop work would involve basic wood working skills such as profiling/sanding treads, triming/covering stairs, which can lead to full construction and assembly of stairs as there is progress.We are a small custom company and all employees work closely with one another. Tasks are often shared as needed resulting in some time spent on site to help with installation and other tasks.We are looking for someone who has an interest in working with wood. Training will be on-the-job.
