Job Description

Sobeys employees are responsible for carrying out a full range of duties for their position in a professional, respectful, accurate and timely fashion. All employees will provide exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customers needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.We are looking to fill positions in the following departments:

  • produce (including floral and bull) - part time
  • bakery - part time
  • seafood - part time
  • deli - part time
  • meat - part time
Employees are responsible for:
  • providing exceptional customer service to meet the customers needs
  • processing customer transactions and orders
  • answer any customer inquiries and use knowledge of store layout and product content to give direction and provide products as needed
  • increasing store sales by actively promoting products
  • preparing, merchandising and displaying resale goods
  • adhering to and implementing all applicable company standards such as food safety, health and safety and other standard operating procedures
  • maintaining a clean and presentable work area
  • maintaining presentation of the sales floor by working stock to the shelf, rotating products, creating displays and general store cleaning tasks
Experience is an asset but not required as comprehensive training will be providedAll applicants must be available for a range of shifts including morning, afternoons and evenings for both weekdays, weekends and holidays.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:
