DESCRIPTIONThe Contracts Coordinator (CC) is a key member of the Michels Canada Operations team. The CC plays an integral role in the contracting processes by providing support to the Contracts team. The CC follows a disciplinedamp; detail-oriented approach, ensuring high quality deliverables. This position is based in our head office located in Nisku, AB, Canada.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Maintain SharePoint lists and libraries. File all relevant documents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist the Contracts Analysts and Contracts Manager in the management subcontract formation from implementation to close-out for a variety of complex agreements.
  • Engage with new and potential suppliers to administer Michels general prequalification in ISN or on paper as applicable.
  • Assist the supply chain analysts with the coordination of subcontractor general and project specific prequalification, both in ISN and on paper for non-ISN subcontractors.Tasks include but not are not limited to, weighted evaluations, SharePoint updates, ISN subcontractor connection and variance requests, reporting on qualification results, collaborating with various departments on oversite and approval procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of all transactions in accordance with established tracking and filing procedures.
  • Update and maintain business development database.
  • Perform subcontract documentation and tracking duties including assisting with subcontractor logs, SharePoint updates, archiving, filing.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable department to ensure proper invoicing documentation.
  • Assist with ongoing development and improvements for the Contracts SharePoint site.
  • Assist Contracts Analysts and Contracts Manager in their efforts where needed.
  • Understand and adhere to established polices, standards and procedures.
  • Schedule team meetings, prepare draft agendas for manager’s review, take meeting minutes and note action items.
  • Undertake assigned projects relating to the Contracting function and other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and successful completion of recognized relevant training program, or combination of relevant training and experience.Experience in supply chain, procurement or contracts department considered an asset.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract as determined by our Michels Canada Transportation Compliance Review team.
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer service and discretion.
  • Time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in pipeline, power, facilities, pipe services, trenchless crossings, or tunnel construction.
  • Experience and/or training in ISNetWorld (ISN)
  • Experience and/or training as a SharePoint site owner or administrator.
LANGUAGES
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
